After working most of his life in the hardwood flooring industry, Bob decided to retire in 1982. He handed over ownership of the flooring company to his sons Jerry and Bill. They renamed the company Rochester Hardwood Floors of Utica, Inc., in which we still operate under today. Jerry and Bill operated Rochester Hardwood Floors together from 1982 until they decided to part ways in 2003. During this time period they continued the service to all of central New York and surrounding areas that they had built over the years.
After parting ways in 2003 with his brother, Jerry ran the floor company with his wife Sandy for the next couple years. In 2006, their son Kevin joined the company on a full time basis. Today Rochester Hardwood Floors is proud to say we are a fourth generation floor company. Jerry still runs the floor company along with the help of his son, Kevin. Sandy keeps business operations running smooth on a daily basis, and Kevin’s wife Shilo has joined the business, helping to expand on what we have done for almost one hundred years.
